Parx Prescription Program

PaRx - Canada's National Nature Prescription Program Park Prescriptions began as a grassroots movement in the United States over a decade ago, and have now spread to countries around the world. Nature prescriptions were named one of the top 8 global wellness trends in 2019. And it's no surprise—research shows that kids and adults who spend more time in nature are happier and healthier. Starting with a BC launch in November 2020, and subsequent launches in all 10 provinces, PaRx is proud to be recognized worldwide as Canada's national, evidence-based nature prescription program Each prescriber who registers with PaRx will receive a nature prescription file customized with a unique provider code, and instructions for how to prescribe and log nature prescriptions while the public can then access special offers from partners to reduce barriers to nature access across Canada. Check out the website for more information and how to participate!

Impact of Art on the Brain

Caroline Kohles, senior program director of Health and Wellness at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhatten, leads the discussion with artist Naomi Andrée Campbell and Dr. Felice Ghilardi.
